Slating & tiling
Tiles are a good choice for most Nottingham homes: strong, quick to lay and available in clay or concrete in a wide range of colours and profiles. Slate is the traditional covering on older houses and, laid properly, lasts a lifetime. We fit and repair both, and we will tell you honestly which suits your roof and what the difference costs.
Quality and safety come first. That means the right membrane, the right batten gauge, the right fixings for the exposure, and a ridge that is mechanically fixed rather than relying on mortar alone. It is the difference between a roof that looks fine on the day and one that is still fine in twenty years.
We do the small jobs too. If you have a handful of slipped slates or a cracked tile letting water in, we will replace them and check the rest while we are up there.

Slate suits older houses and lasts longest; tile is quicker and cheaper and comes in more styles. We will show you both and price both.
Can you match my existing tiles?
Usually. We source reclaimed and current profiles to match what is already there so a repair does not stand out.
